Not all stores come to Mcallen first, Doris. And not many are number one in the nation in Mcallen, but Harlingen. Ask the Harlingen Olive Garden, Charlie Clark Nissan, Bass Pro Shops, Hobby Lobby, La Playa restaurant, Peter Piper Pizza, Southwest Airlines. Perhaps you should conduct your research before writing about it. If Harlingen does not make you happy, I will show you the ramp to Business 83. Use it!
Jerry Deal comments: Good report here. When this publication stated that McAlllen was going to get the restaurant first, it was not intended to belittle Harlingen or the other citiesd, just relating what the company had stated.

Romney is about the same as Obama just look at his track record in his state. What people don’t hear is that Paul is getting the young voters. When you garner about 46 to 48% of the young vote that is a great following. Considering as well that you got college students coming out to vote on a Saturday night and even showing up is support that he has a great following.

I urge you to do your own research on Paul,Romney and Obama. One has not changed his stance for over 30 years. One has made his millions by destroying business,jobs,families basically people’s lives. And one steps on and destroys our rights and Constitution.

Yeah,whatever. Coming from the old man that just now claims he recently got into city politics and has been around since there was a hospital on F street. Sorry,ol’ man but you have made yourself sound like your full of it plenty of times on here.

Now in taking in the enviroment for which you supposedly lived in BOF and my father as well. You would have had to been deaf,dumb and blind not to know what happened and who was who.

For starters BOF,which drive in eatery had “NO MEXICANS ALLOWED” clearly displayed in the window? Which club had a sign that read “NO MEXICANS IN POOL”? To actually think that these places had patrons or members that were not connected to the KKK baffles me.

Since I am so full of it BOF and have no knowledge of the past and apparently my father as well. I would reckon you will put these allegations to rest.

Mr. Deal, I went out to Dinner last night with my hubby and we noticed many of the lamp post lights were out at la placita.
The place looks horrible, to think that it was named after a brave Hispanic, a helicopter pilot to be exact, killed in Viet-Nam. I am surprise no one in his family has made comments about the conditions. The city ought to tile the sidewalks and put more lighting, they are spending quite a bit of money on another memorial, yet the one on the West Side, is always ignored.
I appeal to the city commission to fix Memorial and clean up the area.
Maybe you bring it up to Yerena, but damn, looks ugly.

My father use to know Lt.Gutierrez father, they were good descent hard working people. His son deserves better.
