UPDATE: One year in prison for mother in death of young daughter
A state District Court jury on Friday sentenced Olga Salazar to one year in prison and three years probation in connection with the death of her young daughter.
Salazar, 39, of Brownsville, on Thursday had been found guilty by the jury of criminally negligent homicide and endangering a child.
The one year prison sentence was for the homicide and the probation was for endangering a child.
The conviction and sentence was in connection with the death of her 4-year-old daughter, Felicita, who died inside a vehicle in 2009, while it was parked at the Brownsville Flea Maraket.
Authorities said the child died while sleeping in the sport utility vehicle, which was parked at the flea market, where Salazar worked.

1000 to 1 Olga Salazar is here illegally. Put her dumb rear end in jail then send her back to Matamoros.
