Four TSTC buildings re-opened after suspicious object reportedly detonated

Four Texas State Technical College-Harlingen buildings closed temporarily Friday afternoon after a suspicious object was found in a trash can, were re-opened after the object was later detonated by the Brownsville bomb squad.
Closed were the State Rep. Irma Rangel Science and Technology Building, the George W. Young Engineer Technology Building the Computer Science Program Building and the Biomedical/Dental Lab Building.
Probing the incident were TSTC, Harlingen and Brownsville police.
TSTC officials, who earlier said that no one would be premitted in or out of the buildings until the investigation was completed, later gave the all-clear message..
Federal officials have taken over the investigation.
