Los Fresnos 8th grader wins regional spelling bee

Los Fresnos eighth grade student Clarissa Tudon is sheaded to Washington D.C.
Tudon won the regional round of the 28th spelling bee, correctly spelling sanguinary at Texas State Technical College. She outlasted 52 other Rio Grande Valley contestants and won in the 13th round.
She will now compete in the Scripps national spelling bee in Washington D.C. in May.
Sanguinary is defined as bloodthirsty musrderer or involving or causing much bloodshed.
